A sustainable vision

We fully comply, as a minimum, with current environmental legislation. We are fully committed to finding effective ways to minimise our consumption of resources while producing high performing products with a long lifecycle.

We’re reducing process waste, energy and packaging consumption, dye effluence discharges and CO2 emissions. We’re also working to increase yarn yields and our use of recyclables, natural materials and renewables.

In 2001 we almost completely eliminated our use of landfill by installing the first recycling plant of its kind to convert pre-consumer waste into high performance carpet tile backing. Today this facility processes nearly 50 tonnes of waste a week.

In 1995 our good environmental management was recognised with an ISO14001 accreditation for our head office in Derbyshire, followed by our plants in Krommenie (NL), Telford (UK) and Château-Renault (France).
