Environmental policy

As with all Bonar products, Tessera is committed to finding effective ways to minimise our consumption of resources while producing high performing products with a long lifecycle.

Over the last four years Tessera has reduced:

· Process waste by 8% (and thus landfill from scrap) using precise ultrasonic tile cutting
technology.

· Energy consumption by 11% through line speed increases.

· Packaging consumption by 12% through increased storage density.

· Dye effluent discharges by 35% through conversion to solution-dyed yarns.

· Greenhouse gas emissions by an estimated 20%.

At the same time it has improved yarn yield by 14% through increased process efficiency and product engineering.
